“The Agnus Dei was just mesmerising, contralto Rhonda Browne engaging us with her rich voice and presence, melding with harmonium perfectly. The choral society, as one, scores set aside, sang wholeheartedly, all eyes drawing us in with their poignant pleas. It was absolutely stunning.” (Henley Standard)

This event was  a fabulous success with nearly 200 singers enjoying Hilary Campbells’ dynamic and inspiring teaching style and superb accompanist Anita D’Attellis.

A packed St Mary’s Church enjoyed a colourful trip across continents and through time in Alexander L’Estrange’s joyful jazz-infused Zimbe! and Ahoy! Sing for the Mary Rose.

SONGS OF PEACE

Our concert to commemorate the 80^th anniversary of D-Day, featuring Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem (‘Grant us peace’), Elgar The Spirit of England and Finzi  Lo, the Full, Final Sacrifice with a retiring collection in aid of the Royal British Legion, was a great success in a packed Great Hall, University of Reading. THE HENLEY BIG SING
